Wordy Thompson learned about the construction business by working as a young boy in his father’s lumber and construction company. After receiving a B.A. in History and Political Science from Austin College and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law, Wordy Thompson pursued his interest in the oil industry, operating leases in South Texas. Returning to the construction business has been a natural process for Wordy Thompson, who has fond memories of his father’s rewarding business. Wordy Thompson personally manages all the projects for the company and is committed to insuring that each job is handled with care and the utmost attention to detail.

Wordy Thompson is also a licensed pilot and enjoys flying as a hobby. In addition, Wordy Thompson loves world travel, which allows him the opportunity to learn about new and different cultures. An avid historian and reader, Wordy Thompson’s favorite authors include Noam Chomsky, Latin American journalist, novelist, and essayist Eduardo Galeano, and Henry Louis Gates. Wordy Thompson is also a generous supporter of the Sierra Club, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and other groups devoted to environmental and social justice.
